Spiaggia di Porto San Paolo

Porto San Paolo is, if you like, on the northeastern corner of Sardinia. It's a small town so there are residential facilities nearby. The beach was so-so.

What was striking about this port is the dreamy appearance of what I think is Isola Piana in the distance.

There's a ferry passing in the distance, presumably headed for the Italian mainland.

Evening in La Maddalena

My B&B was in the outskirts of the town and after checking in and refreshing myself, I drove into town in search of dinner. It was a pleasant evening and I liked the ambience of the old town.

Lots of alfresco diners.

The town marina, close to the ferry terminal.

The coast guard station making abundantly clear where we are.

In the event, I ended up at this pizzeria.

It was quite filling.
