Spiaggia Le Saline

Saline means salt evaporation ponds. This beach seemed quite popular. It felt warmer here or maybe the day was warming up.

Sa Colonia beach

Although the views of the southern coast were fantastic it was inconvenient to stop to take photos as I would have to find a spot to park. And I wanted to make it to the island of Sant'Antioco before sundown. I did visit one beach, Sa Colonia. There were still holidaymakers in this shoulder season.
A traveller in this part of Sardinia will notice name Sulcis or Sulcitana in highways, restaurants, and a wild boar dish. Sulcis is an ancient name for this region of Sardinia. The Phoenician city Sulci (or Solki, note hard c) was near present day Sant'Antioco.
