Ferry to La Maddalena

I had purchased a ferry ticket online from the Delcomar company that runs the 4 km route between the mainland and La Maddalena. The island is the largest of the homonymous archipelago. It, and the island of Caprera to which it is joined by a causeway, are the easiest to access due to the car ferry. The other islands require boats to reach.

The holding area for the vehicles waiting to drive on. Not to worry there was plenty of capacity for all and there are many sailings in a day.
Where we were heading.
View to the port.
And starboard. Then panoramas showing the view ahead, to the right side, and where we had just left.

The town of La Maddalena is to the north of but offset a bit to the east of the origin port of Palau so we were approaching from about 7 o'clock.

Finally a panorama of our approach to the island.
