Lunch interlude

I had been recommended an upmarket restaurant in Santa Teresa Gallura but when I returned I found that it was not open for lunch, perhaps only doing evening business.
So I headed towards the ferry at Palau, and checked another possibility at Porto Pozzo, but that was also closed for the season. So I took a couple of photos and moved on.

On the outskirts of Palau I found a great lunch place and had the tagliatelle with scampi.
And a tiramisu and coffee to finish up.
Since I was early for the ferry crossing I had booked, I took myself to see Spiaggia di Punta Nera.
I liked the weather worn rocks.

More of those funky rocks.
The beach is used by the holidaymakers at the nearby resort. There is a small pine forest (Pineta) backing the beach.

Capo Testa

I headed further west to the promontory of Capo Testa which is joined to the main island by a narrow isthmus.

The lighthouse complex is about 10 minutes walk from the gate.
I liked how the rocks contrasted with the flat water.

Wind erosion has helped form these strange shapes of the plutonic rocks.
Lighthouses these days are automated and controlled remotely so nobody lives there.
More gnarly rocks.

Together a pleasing scene. Some panoramas:

On the way back I stopped at the isthmus to take some photos of the beaches there.
That's how clear the water was.

The beach on the opposite of the road, facing south, was somewhat more attractive. A couple of panoramas:
