Torre di Longonsardo

In the morning I took myself to see the Torre di Longonsardo (Italian Wiki) overlooking the beach I had surveyed the evening before.

Unfortunately it was closed to visits. But I was able to take wonderful views of the coast and sea.

The air was clear enough to see Bonifacio, on Corsica, about 10 km away.

Evening in Santa Teresa Gallura

When I planned the trip, I didn't want to go to La Maddalena island straight after picking up the rental car. So I decided to drive further west and overnight at Santa Teresa Gallura, which is a town at the northern tip of Sardinia.

After checking into the B&B and freshening up. I ventured into the small town at dusk.

This is the town beach, from which Corsica can be seen.

Looked like it was still operating in the shoulder season.
