Isola Caprera

In the evening I took a drive across the causeway connecting La Maddalena and Caprera. The latter is only about 5 km by 10 km. I first explored Spiaggia Relitto. It faces east so it sunset wasn't very dramatic.
Caprera is the island where Garibaldi spent the last years of his life. His home is a museum. I wasn't that interested in that Italian history beyond reading about it so I had decided to give the museum a miss.

Near Cala Andreani the pickings were better. This road faced the west with the hills of mainland near Palau in the distance so I was able to take good shots of the sunset.








This was the end of the trail. I couldn't go any further in the car and it was getting late so the colours were getting murky. I called it an evening and drove back to La Maddalena. A few panoramas:

I reached Olbia and had a nice black pasta with crayfish. Then I filled up the petrol tank and checked into the hotel within walking distanc...
