MuMA – Museum of the Sea and Shipwrights

The place I was staying at, MuMA, Il Museo del Mare e dei Maestri d’Ascia, was a hostel in a museum that tells the story of the shipwrights who built the seagoing vessels in ports around Sardinia. It's funded by the EU and Sardinia.
There is a room of exhibits and audiovisual clips in Italian and French which occupied me for part of an hour between checking out, and heading back to Cagliari to return the rental car.
The hostel was very comfortable, almost like a 2 or 3 star hotel, and a good buffet breakfast was served every morning.
The drive back to Cagliari was unremarkable, the only excitement being at the petrol station where I filled up the tank. It was very automated, and I had to pre-deposit payment using my card before using the bowser. After filling up, the balance was returned to my card.
