I headed further west to the promontory of Capo Testa which is joined to the main island by a narrow isthmus.
The lighthouse complex is about 10 minutes walk from the gate.
I liked how the rocks contrasted with the flat water.
Wind erosion has helped form these strange shapes of the plutonic rocks.
Lighthouses these days are automated and controlled remotely so nobody lives there.

On the way back I stopped at the isthmus to take some photos of the beaches there.
That's how clear the water was.
The beach on the opposite of the road, facing south, was somewhat more attractive. A couple of panoramas:

Spiaggia Grande and Spiaggia Salina
In the evening I decided to drive to the northwest corner of the island to catch the setting sun. Spiaggia Grande was uncrowded with only a handful of holidaymakers.

You can tell from the long shadow that the day was getting late.

I reached Olbia and had a nice black pasta with crayfish. Then I filled up the petrol tank and checked into the hotel within walking distanc...
